I am sorry to hear you are dissatisfied with the capacity of your Patsy Ice Cream Maker, Model IC-BIG, which makes one quart. I cannot understand why you thought it would make a half-gallon since our ad, the box and the owner's manual clearly state the quantity that each operating cycle will produce is one quart.
I think that in using the Patsy Model IC-BIG you will find that the one quart capacity is quite convenient. Also, since the operating cycle is only 30 minutes, another batch can be prepared quickly.
